Young Felipe
Young Felipe, a full Peruvian ¾ accoyo white male, is one of our favorite additions to our stud barn. He is a Rock Star son with well-known champion producing sires, Ramillo and Torbio as his grandsires. Young Felipe won 5 Color Championships during his show career: AAA Futurity 06, MAPACA 06, Buckeye 05 & 06, OABA Alpacafest 06 as well as 1st place at AOBA 05. He has beautiful lustrous, cork screw locks, a gorgeous wedge shaped suri head, and excellent conformation and bone. We bred Young Felipe to many of our colored females when he first starting breeding, hoping that he would let the color come through from the dams, along with his cria expressing his excellent fiber characteristics and phenotype. The results of these breedings were stunning. Not only has Felipe let color come through 100% of the time, he even produced a medium fawn when bred to a white female who had nothing but white genetics in her pedigree. His cria have also been characterized low micron counts and the high luster that we hoped for.
